Baobab silhouettes, dry-season elephant congregations along the river, and fewer vehicles than the marquee parks — a favourite first or last stop.

Tarangire rewards slow driving: ancient baobabs, quiet swamps, and herds of elephant that can number in the hundreds during the dry season.

It pairs naturally with Lake Manyara or as a gentler entry before longer days in the Serengeti.
